Holidays

Highlights for me included:

• camping on a bend of the Severn on a warm evening


• standing on top of Ingleborough in perfect visibility


• running up the cliff road in Fecamp, Normandy for another wonderful view


• making a sea journey from Normandy to Suffolk with favourable winds at almost every stage, and feeling my friends' new boat accelerating in the gusts. For yachties, it's an Oyster Heritage 37, and much faster than a Westerly Fulmar.
