Sunny afternoon

There was inter-House cricket this afternoon. Let's not dwell on the scores: it's not the winning, is it, but the taking part. Liam Collins opened the bowling, with style - and Tom Thornton-Smith maintained the attack from the other end.

Others from Burr , like Ed Bowers, were playing tennis for the College. Some recognised the teacher from Abingdon who brought them over - Mr John Winters, a former Burr tutor, now Deputy Head of the Maths Department there.

The this evening the ICT Department had a barbecue for all those with public exams in the subject. The Upper Sixth, including a thoughtful Rob Lessman have yet to take theirs, while the Lower Sixth and Year 11 have both finished. One candidate delighted Mr Foakes and I with the comment that "You know, we'd revised some of those questions !"
