Tuesday night this week features toasties by Mrs Lowndes and her helpers. Wednesday is a little less fattening and more spiritual - our first House Communion of the Term. One of Lesley's roles is organising the Shiplake Village Poppy Appeal, so our drawing room, which we use for the service, is rather full of poppy trays and collecting boxes. She thinks there are about 7,200 poppies waiting to go out the the Royal British Legion volunteers who will be selling from door to door in the weeks before Remembrance Day. Shiplake staff and CCF NCOs are part of the team.
Our service here is on Sunday 8th Nov at 1045.
