Not that he's in Burr (you can't have everything in life) but many congratulations to Matt Thomas for his rugby selection - eagled eyed blog readers will have spotted his name in the news feed on the lower left, which tracks any mention of the word "Shiplake" in the digital press.

The Oxford Mail said: "Three Oxfordshire players have been named in the South West squad for the under 16 divisional festival.Lock Matt Thomas (Shiplake College) and flanker Gus Jones (Eton College) will start in their match against the North, which has been postponed until January 22."

We hope the England selectors will be watching carefully.
