INDEPENDENT SCHOOLS’ INSPECTORATE
Dear Parents
I am sure you will all know that the College has been inspected recently by ISI inspectors. Four weeks ago two inspectors arrived, with five days warning, to check our compliance against regulatory dictates. These continue to multiply each year to (in my opinion) an absurd extent. I am pleased to say that we passed all regulations. The Reporting Inspector, with three new Team Inspectors, arrived on Monday and, although the official report has yet to be written, the verbal feedback was most encouraging. I am told that I will be able to send the official report to you in a little over four weeks.
I am bound by protocol not to reveal the detail of what was said during the feedback session today but I feel I can say that I was extremely pleased. Inspectors have four categories to use, (Excellent, Good, Satisfactory and Unsatisfactory) and, within those categories can, on feedback, suggest by adverbs and adjectives, in which end of each category they feel the school should be placed. I can say that the predominant language the inspectors used included “Excellent” and “Good, with excellent aspects”. Some of this was due to the feedback they received from parents and pupils. Thank you for taking the time to complete the questionnaire so soon after we had asked you to complete our own questionnaire.
If you are interested the headings under which we were judged can be found here , 3a – 5C
As ever, with warm good wishes,
Gregg Davies
