In the week leading up to the Information Morning,
Heads of Department will spend time in class talking to Year 11 pupils about
A-Level study in their subject; they will discuss course content, skills and
abilities required for success, and potential career or higher education
opportunities. For subjects not currently being studied at GCSE the Heads
of those Departments will be available on the day to offer advice about their
courses at A-Level. All consultations are designed for general
information, given as mini-presentations, rather than as individual meetings to
assess a student’s potential in each subject (this information can be covered
in the January Parents’ Conference). There will also be a Sixth Form
Academic Information booklet available for your perusal with detailed information
about the various courses and their requirements.
The format of the morning, to be held in the Sports Hall,
