I'm grateful to another teacher, and former colleague in the sunlit days of 1979 when we both worked for the British Forces Broadcasting Service in Cyprus, for this faintly embarassing reminder of why I once needed a comb. The T shirt works much better on Judy, now teaching French, German and English in Somerset, who produced it for a reunion of an even earlier connection - we were both involved in the Oxford Theatre Group, packing them in to St Mary's Street Hall at the Edinburgh Festival.
The outside broadcast unit on the right was affectionately known as "the ice cream van".
