A wonderful surprise

Tom Thornton-Smith asked for permission to miss prep last Friday, to so some practical research for his Music BTEC course. I agreed as long as he reported his experiences for the blog.

Here's the story:

On Friday the 1st of october I set off to go and watch Carlos Santana play in the O2. During the day I was meant to go and see the Music Expedition in the O2 for my Music BTEC, but unfortunately it was cancelled.

I arrived at the O2 with a couple of hours to spare until Santana went on stage. My family and I had an amazing chinese at the O2, whilst listening to song after song of Santana, and this was building up the excitement inside of me.

When we approached the doors the ticket officers said that we were not in the seats that we were assigned to, but they said that we were going to be in a VIP box with an amazing view. This was a huge shock to all of us and we couldn't wait to see Carlos.

The view from the Box was unbelievable, and the music started as we sat down. Santana and his band played their new album and also played some classic songs such as; Soul Sacrifice, Europa and Maria Maria.

When the concert ended the music was still ringing in my ears: unfortunately I had to endure the late night tube ride back to my house! which wasn't quite as fun! .All in all the concert was amazing and I can't wait till he tours back in London.
