It's time to look for the next generation of leaders in the Sixth Form. Burr has provided the last three Heads of College, so I'm wondering who will be responding to the Headmaster's message below:

SHIPLAKE COLLEGE PREFECTS
2010 – 2011

FOR THE ATTENTION OF ALL YEAR 12 PUPILS

If you are interested in becoming a School Prefect please write a formal letter of application to the Headmaster to arrive no later than Wednesday 3rd March 2010.

The letter should outline the characteristics and skills you feel the role of College Prefect requires and also what special qualities you would bring to the post. In addition you might wish to mention any previous experience you have had in the area of leadership, or any experience or responsibilities you have had which would enable you to better carry out the duties of a Prefect. You will need to add the names of two referees who are currently associated with the College who would be willing to provide a verbal reference for you. (You will need to approach them before giving their names.)

You will be contacted by 25th March if you are required to attend an interview in front of a panel including the Deputy Headmaster, the Senior Housemaster and myself.

Appointments will be announced just before the first exeat of the summer term.

The College is seeking to appoint a maximum of twelve Prefects.
