Good night out

Just occasionally, prep can be rearranged so that special family events can happen. It might be a grandmother's birthday (these are rationed - one per grandmother per year), or a special sports event. For these, I sometimes ask for a report. Well done to Peter Lap, who slipped out one evening to meet his father at one of the great matches at Craven Cottage:

On Thursday the 18th I went to see Fulham play Juventus. The kick off was at 6 but unfortunately I was 15 minutes late due to traffic. My dad was already in the stadium but he had my ticket so I spent the next 5 minutes trying to get in until I got talking with a person whose friend hadn’t been able to come and he was selling his ticket for £20 but he gave it to me for free so that’s how I got in the stadium I then went to my seat and the score was 1-1.

Fulham needed to have a 4-1 win or 3-1 and to go into extra time. The atmosphere was very tense. Then Zoltan Gera scored a fantastic goal which brought the score to 2-1 then Fabio Cannavaro was sent off for a foul that gave us a penalty that Gera scored. Then in the 89th minute Clint Dempsey scored which won us the game with the final score 4-1. It was one of the best games I have ever gone to.
