Boring

After exciting stories about sport and the end of term, it's time to calm down. Holidays are of course a chance to work without the distractions of lessons.

End of term reports will have full details of holiday work for years 11 and 12. Please believe me: everyone will have been set work for each subject. Really.

My suggestion is always to try to get it done in the morning - after the 3 mile run, have a shower and then some porage. You can then squeeze in three or four hours before lunch - but have breaks every 30 to 40 minutes.

The afternoon and evening can then be given over to writing letters to elderly relatives, knitting blankets for the homeless and writing poetry in French, before making supper for everyone with a job, washing up, and practising the cha-cha-cha with the girlfriend.
