Over the summer break it has been all change in Burr House with Mr Dix and his family moving from Skipwith so that he can take over the role of Burr Housemaster from Mr Lowndes and also myself (Mr Caine) moving to Shiplake to takeover from Mr Starr as Burr Resident Tutor.
I have moved to Shiplake from Cheshire after completing my PGCE at Keele University and spending time over the summer camping in Mid Wales and travelling in Korea. As well as being Resident Tutor I will be teaching ICT which I studied at University and I worked in the industry for two year in central London.
Over the past few weeks all of the House Staff have been working hard to get ready for the new term. Also all members of staff returned to school on Wednesday to attend three days of INSET to prepare for the new term.
I am taking over the blog from Mr Lowndes and I am hoping to update it as often as possible with news, stories and pictures from the house and would love for you to comment on posts.
I have really enjoyed my time at Shiplake so far and am looking forward to welcoming the boys back next week.
